Vintage Bavaria Porcelain Berchtesgaden Edelweiss Floral Dish w/ Brass Holder
Vintage
Charming vintage Bavarian porcelain serving or trinket dish featuring a beautiful Alpine wildflower bouquet of deep blue gentian, pink blossoms and white edelweiss, finished with a delicate gold rim. The front is marked “Berchtesgaden,” the historic Bavarian Alpine town in Germany. The underside bears the Bavaria Porcelain maker’s mark and pattern/form number 138/2. What makes this piece especially fun is the removable gold-tone wire serving holder, complete with its original red/orange wrapped handle and wood-toned tips. The holder allows the oval porcelain dish to be carried or displayed elevated and can also be removed entirely. A lovely piece of vintage German souvenir porcelain with a very Alpine cottage / European grandmillennial look. Perfect for serving candies or nuts, or use it as a vanity dish, jewelry catchall, entryway tray or decorative collectible. Measures approximately 7” x 5” Vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Gold trim appears nicely preserved overall. Please review photos for exact condition.
